Recreational FFESSM training

La FFESSM, ou Fédération Française d’Études et de Sports Sous-Marins, propose différentes formations de plongée pour les amateurs de plongée sous-marine en France. Ces formations sont conçues pour permettre aux plongeurs d’acquérir progressivement les compétences nécessaires à une plongée autonome et sécurisée, tout en respectant les normes de sécurité et les réglementations en vigueur.

Each new technical capacity acquired corresponds to know-how and knowledge.

The technical patent of diver will be materialized by a card which attests to the level of competence of a diver. Each diving level corresponds to a specific card.

Here is a general description of the level cards commonly issued by the FFESSM :

1. Carte Niveau 1 (N1) – Plongeur Encadré Jusqu’à 20m – Certification internationale 1 étoile CMAS
   • La carte N1 est délivrée aux plongeurs ayant réussi avec succès la formation de Niveau 1
   • She attests that the diver is capable of diving framed up to a depth of 20 meters
2. Carte Niveau 2 (N2) – Plongeur Autonome – Certification internationale 2 étoiles CMAS
   • La carte N2 est attribuée aux plongeurs ayant validé la formation de Niveau 2
   • She certifies that the diver is able to dive independently up to 20 meters and up to 40 meters framed
3. Carte Niveau 3 (N3) – Plongeur Autonome Grande Profondeur – Certification internationale : 3 étoiles CMAS
   • The N3 card is given to divers havingssi level 3 formation
   • She indicates that the diver can dive independently up to 60 meters

Patents are recognized internationally (FFESSM - CMAS) as part of the World Confederation of underwater activities which brings together nearly 90 countries.
