The natural environment, with your club
CAP CAP Port-Vendres welcomes clubs and organized groups for exploration, training, or both.
The center is located at Anse Gerbal, in the heart of the Côte Vermeille.
Diving takes place in the Cerbère-Banyuls marine reserve, on the drop-offs of Cap Béar, and on World War II shipwrecks.
Two rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) depart from the pontoon in front of the dive center: The Beast, 10.5 meters, accommodating 29 divers plus the pilot, and The Gabinu, 7.5 meters, accommodating 17 divers plus the pilot.
Air, nitrox , and trimix tanks are filled on-site. The changing rooms and classrooms are located in the same building.
Many of you will already be seeing each other at the Paris Dive Show.
During the season, boats fill up quickly: it's best to book your dates as early asssi.
The facilities
The center occupies more than 400 m² on two levels, in the former fish market.
Reception, equipment preparation and storage, men's and women's changing rooms with showers, rinsing area, classrooms, a seating area, a shop.
We unload the equipment in front of the center's door; the boats are at the pontoon, right there.
Free parking is available less than 100 meters away.
The journey from the SNCF train station is on foot.
The Cerbère-Banyuls nature reserve
This is often the reason for the trip.
A few minutes by boat is all it takes to enter the first marine reserve in mainland France, in the heart of the Gulf of Lion marine natural park.
The drop-offs carry coralligenous reefs; the grouper are at home here, with the dentex, the sargo bream and everything that lives in these waters protected since 1974.
Each outing is different, and it is precisely this environment that clubs are looking for.
The site is chosen in the morning, depending on the sea and the group's skill level.
The shipwrecks
Three ships accessiblessithe PE40, departing from the boat at eight o'clock: the Bananier, the Saumur, the Astrée.
Enough to fill a weekend with something other than coralligenous reefs.
Some clubs organize two dives in the same day: the wreck early in the morning, the reserve later in the morning. This works if the sea conditions and the divers' skill levels are suitable. We finalize the plan with the dive leader before the weekend.
If the wind forces us to go down the other side, we switch towards Cap Béar.

We don't offer on-site accommodation. We direct guests towards solutions that are suitable for a club stay:

Airbnb and Booking are available for the rest. Collioure is 5 minutes away, and the Spanish border is about 20 minutes away.

Before the trip, we take the time to discuss skill levels, equipment, and pace. For standard packagesssitanks tankweights are included; everything else can be rented at the center.
