Introduction and discovery of scuba diving
From age 8, CAP CAP Port-Vendres takes you to sea: try dive under scuba gear or snorkeling, departing from the boat.
Try Dive under scuba gear : €99, €139 or €199, one instructor for a first-timer, 20 to 40 minutes.
Snorkeling : €35 self-guided or €49 guided, same sites, on the surface.
Equipment provided, no medical certificate required. Outing lasts approximately 2 hours.

When and how do our outings take place?
Our try dive and snorkeling excursions take place in natural environments, departing from the boat to suitable sites. Allow approximately 2 hours for the trip.
Regular time slots: departures at 9:30am and 2:30pm, please arrive 45 minutes before.
In July and August, specific discovery sessions are offered on Tuesdays and Fridays at the end of the day: departure at 5:30 pm, meeting at 4:45 pm. These outings are dedicated to guided snorkeling and try dive .
For a guided snorkeling trip outside of these designated times, a minimum of 4 participants is required. Contact us to organize your trip.

30 minutes in the water to go beyond the initial sensation. The first few minutes are for getting used to the equipment — then, it's time for 20-25 minutes of pure exploration with your instructor.

Self-guided snorkeling excursion

Approximately 2 hours of outing, including 1 to 1.25 hours in the water
Fins, mask, and snorkel: embark on a free exploration of the surface of the Côte Vermeille. Before entering the water, a technical briefing will introduce you to the equipment, and an environmental briefing will raise awareness of proper behavior in a natural environment. A signaling and support buoy is available for the group, and a submersible species identification card will allow you to name each encounter—wrasse, white seabream, sea urchins, starfish… Spend
1 to 1.25 hours in the water, at your own pace, discovering colorful, fish-filled rocky seabeds.
Come with your swimsuit and a towel, we'll take care of the rest.
Guided Snorkeling Hike

Outings in the late afternoon, Tuesday & Friday (July & August)
A certified instructor will accompany you from the start: a technical briefing on the equipment, an environmental briefing on the species you'll encounter, and the actions to take to protect the natural environment. You'll be provided with
a submersible identification tag for the species and a signaling
and support buoy for the entire duration of the outing.
For 45 minutes, your guide will take you to the most vibrant snorkeling spots on the Côte Vermeille and explain what's happening right before your eyes. Then comes some free time—15 to 30 minutes—to explore independently, just a short distance from the boat.
In July and August, our guided snorkeling trips depart in the late afternoon—when the sea is calm, the light is golden, and the fish are most active. The best time to be in the water.

We opted for the deluxe try dive package, where my brother Ovidiu and I enjoyed the diving experience, while our two children participated in surface activities.
